Interested in undergoing a breast lift procedure – but not sure how much it’s going to cost?
We hear you. That’s why we’ve compiled the information you need to learn more about how much a breast lift costs, including what’s included in the price of your procedure.
How Much Does a Breast Lift Cost?
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the cost of a breast lift was about $4,672 in 2017. However, some areas of the country may be more expensive than others; for example, Southern California can have higher breast lift prices, as there are more highly trained board certified plastic surgeons practicing in the area.
Keep in mind that this procedure doesn’t include the cost of anesthesia, medications, and fees associated with a surgery center. Therefore, it’s important to set up a consultation with your plastic surgeon so you can better understand how much your breast lift might cost.
Breast lift procedures are tailored to each specific patient, so no two surgery costs will be the same.
What to Expect from Your Breast Lift Procedure
A breast lift procedure is done in order to lift sagging breasts and reposition the nipples so as to create a more youthful appearance. To do this, your plastic surgeon will make incisions underneath the breasts and potentially around the nipples, thus accessing key parts of the breast for repositioning. The nipple will be placed on the changed breast shape and any excess skin will be removed to highlight the new shape.
Your breast lift recovery should take about six to eight weeks, at which point you’ll be cleared to return to your normal exercise regimen. Be sure to follow your plastic surgeon’s advice for recovering during your breast lift, as that will help you achieve your best results.
