Song Plastic Surgery was founded in 2011 with the simple goal of helping people look and feel their very best. We understand that you have many options when considering plastic surgery in Orange County, which is why we go to such great lengths to be attentive and responsive to your needs and wishes. Dr. Song is available by phone to his patients 24/7, and he personally reads and responds to every e-mail he receives.
Fees & Financing
A private consultation with Dr. Song is complimentary; however, a credit card is required to secure your consultation, and any no-show is charged a $100 fee. Dr. Song’s patient coordinator will discuss cost and payment options after your consultation.
Payment options include cash, personal check, gift card, and credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express).
Song Plastic Surgery also works with several excellent financing programs, and our patient coordinator is happy to assist you with the application process.
Incision, Suture, & Scar Care
Incisions are a necessary part of the rejuvenation process, and there is no way to predict the final outcome, but with the proper care and management, you will ensure your best possible result.
Specific instructions will be given depending on the procedures performed, but it is always important to keep your incisions clean. Once Dr. Song has removed the operative dressings, you will be allowed to shower. Showering normally with soap and water is good for incisions, but we ask you to refrain from submersion in bathtubs or pools for two weeks.
Sutures are removed between days five and ten after surgery. After two weeks, incisions are beginning to build strength and can tolerate gentle massage. At this point, you can begin to use silicone gel we provide with your surgery to encourage a soft, flat, minimally-pigmented scar.
All scars will become firmer and redder over the first three months, and subsequently will fade, flatten, and soften until they reach their permanent state at approximately one year after surgery. It is extremely important during this first year to take extra good care of your scars. New scars are exquisitely sensitive to sunlight, and any sun exposure may cause permanent darkening. We recommend that during the first 12 months, all scars be protected from direct sunlight by clothing or sunscreen with greater than SPF 50.
