Large breasts might seem like an ideal in our society, but as it turns out, they can also be a source of chronic pain for women. And not just emotional or mental pain; large breasts can cause the kind of physical pain that can seriously debilitate a woman’s everyday life.
How Large Breasts Cause Significant Body Pain
Breasts that are too large for a woman’s body often cause significant body pain because they’re putting a strain on her back, neck, and shoulders. Whether from bra straps cutting into the skin or having constant headaches from neck pain, too-large breasts can definitely have an impact on a woman’s lifestyle. And that’s not even including the frustration that can come from not being able to exercise or even sleep on the stomach without experiencing pain.
Get Freedom from Pain with a Breast Reduction
One of the best ways to free yourself from the body pain associated with large breasts is to undergo a breast reduction. This plastic surgery procedure is designed to decrease the breast size so that it no longer presents a strain on the patient’s body. Breast reduction accomplishes this by removing excess breast tissue and skin, reshaping the remaining breast, and repositioning the nipple for a more youthful and balanced appearance.
Many women who undergo breast reduction remark on how they feel an immediate sense of relief as soon as they wake up from the surgery. They feel like a literal weight is lifted off of their shoulders, even as they’re recovering from surgery. This sense of freedom and relief only increases over time, with patients feeling as though their lives have changed now that they can exercise, sleep, and exist without pain.
This is also a procedure that is commonly covered by most health insurance plans. Dr. Kyle Song accepts most major insurance plans, and will assist you with insurance matters.
I am feeling INCREDIBLE! Swelling has dropped down now and I am about 81cms all around (down from 91cms before all this). Nipples are slowly coming around and rising up from where they were just after surgery. Had a check up and the surgeon explained that he sutured me really tight underneath my breast to stop the scar riding up over time, and that suture is taking a while to release which is why my nipples are being pulled down, but when it does they should settle into a higher position on the breast.
